Python in the Geosciences
Spring 2021 - 3 Hours
Topics:
This graduate course is designed for scientists and engineers who want to use programming for exploration, processing, and figure generation of environmental data. We will use Python, which makes many of these programming tasks quick, easy, and fun! Python is increasingly the language of choice for environmental scientists and engineers in academia, government, and the private sector. The open source nature and variety of freely-available libraries extends its utility for tasks ranging from GIS, to building and processing of numerical models, to accessing and analyzing time series from web-based repositories.

"This was one of the most well delivered courses I have ever been a part of, and collaboration for learning was strongly encouraged. I have no advice; this class was great." - 'Student' Fall 2020
